Woman killed, man seriously injured in double stabbing attack in Edgewater, police say

On August 9 at around 5:00 p.m., officers were called to a building in the South River S apartment block in Edgewater where a stabbing had reportedly occurred that left two people injured.

The woman, Nancianne Houston of Edgewater, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. The 58-year-old man was taken to the University of Maryland R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with “severe, life-threatening injuries to his upper body and extremity.”

Investigators believe that the two knew each other and were involved in an argument when the stabbings occurred.

No further details were released by the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
