Titusville High School Football Preview 2024

0

Last season, the Titusville High football team got off to the best start in program history after going undefeated through its first seven games of the season.

The Terriers finished the 2023 season with a record of 10-2, with their only regular-season loss coming to Class 2S state champion Cocoa. After advancing to the second round of the FHSAA playoffs, Titusville fell to South Sumter, which advanced to the regional finals before also losing to Cocoa.

“We definitely need to pick up where we left off,” Titusville head coach John Holmes said. “We had some pretty good games against some good teams, but then we ran into South Sumter, who were a good playoff team, so we definitely need to pick up where we left off.”

After what Holmes said was an excellent first week of training for the Terriers, the team should be ready for a similar season to last year with the return of several players.

Returning players include senior Jamarion Stephens, who led the team on offense with 852 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. On defense, Camari Jackson caught four interceptions in his sophomore season.

To kick off the 2024 season, the Terriers will play away against Cocoa on August 23.

Head coach: John Holmes is in his third season as head coach of the Terriers.

Returning stats leaders: Jamarion Stephens, Sr., 106 carries – 852 yards, 11 TDs; DJ Cooper, Jr., 49 total tackles, 4 sacks; Camari Jackson, Jr., 4 INTs, 43 tackles.
