Several arrests after collision with police vehicle at car meet in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Several people were taken into police custody following a car meet in Philadelphia's Frankford neighborhood on Saturday evening.

It happened shortly after 10 p.m. at the corner of Torresdale and Adams Avenue.

One of the drivers involved in the encounter is said to have collided with a police officer's car while trying to flee the scene of the accident.

According to police, the officer was not injured.

Authorities did not provide information on the number of arrests or whether further injuries were reported.
