Thier and Goode win election in Rehoboth Beach

In a race for two seats with four people running, Craig Thier and Suzanne Goode are the winners of the 2024 municipal election in Rehoboth Beach.

The election took place on Saturday, August 10. Thier came first with 611 votes, Goode came second with 521 votes, Mark Saunders came third with 489 votes and Rachel Macha came fourth with 448 votes.

A total of 1,147 votes were cast – 652 in person, 495 by mail. A total of 1,655 voters were registered. It was the first election in the city in three years.

Incumbent Commissioners Toni Sharp and Tim Bennett did not seek re-election. Sharp was in the first term of her second term as commissioner. Bennett served one term.
