Teenager injured in shooting at clubhouse meeting in Maryland, officials say

A teenager was injured in a shooting at a large gathering in Maryland on Friday evening, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

People were gathered at the clubhouse of the Urban Green Apartments in Urbana, Maryland, when the shooting occurred. Officers rushed to the clubhouse in the 3300 block of Galena Drive, where they found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the chest. The teen was taken to a local trauma center, where he is still being treated for his injuries, officials said.

Witnesses told officers they saw suspects arrive at the gathering and begin shooting at the crowd, officers said.

Maryland State Police officers were also on site to assist with the shooting investigation and search for those involved. No suspects have been arrested yet, officials said.
