Delaware County real estate prices rise most in 4 zip code areas

Delaware County property values are expected to rise the most in four zip code areas in 2024, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.

They are on a list of the 15 zip code areas in the Philadelphia metropolitan area where the biggest changes in property values are expected this year.

The Delaware County list includes the communities of Upper Darby, Collingdale, Chester and Sharon Hill.

Upper Darby's 19082 zip code was third on the list, with property values expected to increase 3.8 percent by 2024.

Next was Collingdale's 19023 zip code (sixth on the list), which is expected to see a 3.7 percent increase in property values.

This is followed by Chester’s zip code 19013 (13^th) with an increase in value of 3.4 percent; and Sharon Hills zip code 19079 ( 14^th) with property values increasing by 3.4 percent this year.

According to Zillow, the Philadelphia metropolitan area is expected to see a 3.1 percent increase in the current median home value of $342,000.

To determine home values in Delaware County and elsewhere in the Greater Philadelphia area, Zillow analyzed real estate data such as sales, tax assessment, square footage and location to document and predict market trends.
