Jennifer GarnerThe first appearance of at the San Diego Comic-Con was unfortunately marred by an unexpected technical problem — being trapped in an elevator for over an hour. The iconic actress who plays Elektra in the new film Deadpool and Wolverine (and 2005 Electra and 2003 Daredevil), was able to keep her fans (and anyone who could help) updated via Instagram. She is completely safe after the ordeal, but in hindsight, her Instagram post is kind of hilarious. You can check it out below:

“Hey guys?” Garner began to address her Instagram audience two minutes into the situation. “We're stuck in this elevator… I could use a Wolverine, I could use a Deadpool. I could use somebody.” Time passes, and then Garner says, “We've been in the elevator for 11 minutes now. It's warm, I'm sweaty, I need to blot myself up.”Do not cut the blue wire' says someone.”

35 minutes after her capture, Garner says: “I think I saw an episode of The office or Brooklyn Nine-Nine or something like that where you're supposed to sit, so we sit.” The camera pans down to her butt on the floor, and six and a half minutes later she stands up and sings:99 bottles of beer” in a nasal southern accent. After an hour, some lights come on and Garner quietly sings Madonna’s “Like a Prayer”, recently used in Deadpool and WolverineAnother 12 minutes pass and the doors open, followed by a loud cheer.

Why Jennifer Garner is the best thing about 2003's Daredevil

While 2003's “Daredevil” provoked polarizing reactions upon its release, Jennifer Garner's interpretation of “Elektra” was largely considered a highlight.

Jennifer Garner is one of many cameo appearances in Deadpool & Wolverine

Garner’s character, Elektra, was one of the many Marvel cameos in Deadpool and Wolverine. The opportunity allowed various actors to revisit their superhero pasts, such as the often-mocked Daredevil with Ben Affleck and his then-wife Jennifer Garner. Garner delivered a quick-witted little jab at her ex-husband in the film; when Deadpool laments that Daredevil was erased from the timeline, Elektra quickly replies, “Oh, it's OK.”

Other fanservice cameos include Henry Cavill as Cavillrine, Matthew McConaughey as Cowboy Deadpool, Blake Lively as Ladypool, Nathan Fillion as Headpool, Wesley Snipes as Blade, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, and many more. Deadpool and Wolverine is currently in theaters (and will probably stay there for two months).
